What is Turkse shakshuka?
Turkish shakshuka is a vegetable stew made with tomatoes, peppers, and a unique mix of spices. You can endlessly vary the vegetables you add! Unlike the warm North African version with poached eggs, Turkish shakshuka is often served cold and without eggs.

How to make a Turkse Shakshuka with Bulgur and Feta
What you need:

2 Small Cans of Shakshuka or 1 Large Can of Shakshuka | Bulgur | Salt | Pepper


How to Make It:

• Prepare the bulgur according to the instructions on the package.
• Add salt and pepper once the bulgur is ready.
• Meanwhile, heat the shakshuka.
• Serve together and crumble some feta on top.
• Tip: Get extra fine bulgur from Turkish shops to save even more time.

What is linzensoup?
Lentil soup is not only super tasty but also very nutritious. Lentils are packed with protein and fiber. With additional ingredients like organic carrot, potato, and garlic, you’re getting a great boost of nutrients. The fresh hint of mint gives the soup that extra touch and creates a nice balance with the savory flavors of onion and garlic. It’s a vegan dish that’s healthy and delicious for everyone!


How to make Lentil soup with pita and Humus
What you need:

1 Can of Lentil Soup | 1 Can of Hummus | Pita Bread | Cucumber | Water


How to Make It:

• Warm the pitas in a grill or oven.
• Dilute the soup with half a can of water and heat it up.
• Slice the cucumber.
• Spread the hummus and cucumber on the pitas.

What is Cachupa
You can now enjoy it in the Netherlands as well. Cachupa is a true meal soup; you only need to heat the contents of this can, and your meal is ready.

How to make Cachupa with Fish or Meat

What you need:
2 Small Cans of Shakshuka or 1 Large Can of Shakshuka | Bulgur | Salt | Pepper

How to Make It:
• Heat in a pot or in the microwave (not in the can!). Let the chicken or tuna cook until fully done.

Looking for a more complete meal? You can make a fresh salad as a side dish.

Mafé: Senegalese peanut stew with Dutch vegetables

What is Mafe

Peanut stew is one of the most characteristic dishes in West Africa. You can find it in all sorts and variations: spicy, less spicy, with fish, with meat… But always with local seasonal vegetables! Our participant from Senegal has developed a delicious version that is not too spicy, vegan, and filled with potatoes and carrots from the Dutch soil! 


How to make Mafé with Couscous Salad
What you need: (2 people)

Couscous, cucumber, tomato, onion, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, optional: mango. 1 can of mafé from Mixblik.


How to Make It:

• Prepare the couscous according to the instructions on the package.
• Meanwhile, chop the vegetables and fruit into small pieces.
• Mix with the couscous and season with salt and pepper.
• Serve together, enjoy your meal!
